He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter Shidler and Alice Shidler (Howe); his wife Marcella M. Hull; his grandson Dennis Shidler; and his brother Donald Shidler.
He is survived by : his sons, Douglas Shidler (Dorcas "Dee") of Portland and Gregory Shidler of Bryan, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Dane Shidler (Tosha Markwell), Debra Shidler and Kylie Jo Shidler. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
