He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Winkleman and Pearl Winkleman; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Doris Stokke; and his sisters, Lorraine Pitkin (Lawrence) and Beverly Mawdsley.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Winkleman; his daughters, Jill Peters (Steve) and Dawn Eller (Dave); his grandchildren, Andrew Peters, Ty Peters (Alaura), Brady Eller (Britney), Tenille Phillips-Wetzler, Seth Eller (Becky) and Alexis Eller; and his great grandchildren, Carson Peters, Dawson Peters, Chandler Peters, Jesse Peters, Lily Phillips, Linnea Wetzler, Brooklyn Eller, Brienna Eller, Bryce Eller, Piper Eller, Zion Eller, Elah Eller and Cana Eller.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Bryan, Ohio or Calvary Baptist Church of Forest City, Iowa.
