She was predeceased by: her parents, George Obenland and Ethel Obenland (Elser); her husband James L. Cooper; her granddaughter Janet Anderson; and her sisters, Thelma Sponseller and Janice Harter.
She is survived by: her children, Cory Cooper (James) of Montpelier, OH, Kris Rosebrock of Pioneer, OH, Jamie Strahm (Jacob) of Lebanon, OH and Robert Cooper (Deborah) of Bryan, OH; her grandchildren, Jeremy, April, Travis, Matt, Jacob, Sidney and Tyler; and her great grandchildren, Samantha, Mara and Jaylyn.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Den Herder Funeral Home (1000 W Wayne St, Paulding, OH 45879). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (9088 Openlander Rd, Sherwood, OH 43556).
Memorial contributions may be made in Ellen's memory to St. John Lutheran Church or to the Fountain Park Activity Fund.
