He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Hawkins and Mary Elizabeth Taylor; his wife Sharon Ann Stafford; and his grandsons, Cory Losey and James Miller.

He is survived by: his daughters, Deb Platt (Russ) of Waldron, Rebecca McCutcheon of Hillsdale, Elizabeth Nolan (Tim) of Montpelier, Judith Losey (William) of Brooklyn, Bonnie Kalka of Toledo, Cheryl Bridge of Pioneer and Charity Reliford, Sr. (Ricky) of Bryan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may give memorial donations to the family.
