He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignacio R. Garza and Guadalupe Garza (Celestino); his brothers, Butch and Steve Garza; and his brother-in-law Don Stewart.
He is survived by: his son James Garza of Montpelier; and his siblings, Herminia Stewart of Bryan, Ruben Garza (Cindy) of Ney, John Garza (Cheryl) of Bryan, Stella Shankster (John) of Bryan, Tony Garza (Sheryl) of Paulding, Mary Bohn of Homestead, Meno Garza (Cheryl) of Bryan and Delia Cronk (Roy) of Sherwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Montpelier or Bryan Athletic Departments.
