With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jose L. Castillo Jr. of Bryan, Ohio, born in Defiance, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2025 at the age of 43. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Virginia, Carmel Castillo, Helen and Joseph Cerino; and his nephews, Armando Castillo and Juan Castillo.
He is survived by: his parents, Jose Castillo and Maria Castillo (Santos) of Defiance; his siblings, Angelo Castillo (Ashley) of Defiance and Carmel Castillo (Crystal) of Defiance; his half-sister Jess; and his siblings' children, Raina, Gabryel, Isabella, Malia, Angelo Jr., Carmel Jr., Xavier and Braedyn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Monetary donations can be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
