He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Bayes and Marilyn Sendelbach (Brannon); and his brother Kevin Sendelbach. He is survived by: his wife Penny Jo Bayes (Stiltner); his children, Jamie Collins of Bryan and Travis Bender (Adrienne) of Bryan; and his grandchildren, Dezarae Bender of Bryan, Skyler Bender of Bryan, Hunter Nino (Davina) of Morenci, Alyssa Bender of Bryan, Logan Carder of Bryan, Natalie Bender of Bryan, Emmett Nino, Camden Bender and Hunter Jean Nino.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Williams County Humane Society.
