He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lantz and Virginia Thornburg (Richard); and his daughter Lolita Appel. He is survived by: his wife Joann Lantz (Stark) of Bryan; his children, Jenny Reamsnyder (Dave) of West Unity, Bill Schaper of Bryan, Dan Schaper (Sara) of Bryan and Tom Schaper (Heather) of Bryan; his grandchildren, Aaron Appel (Jessica), Brandon Appel (Casey), Natalie Appel and Drs; and his sister Wava Russell of Celina, OH.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Krill Funeral Home (114 E Hull St, Edgerton, OH 43517). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (300 S Michigan Ave, Edgerton, OH 43517).
