She was predeceased by: her parents, A. R. DeWees and Elsie DeWees (Lee); her husband William Freed; and her brother Robert DeWees. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn J. Schmidt (Gary) of Colorado Springs, CO and Kara M. Girten (Tom) of Whitehouse, OH; and her grandchildren, Cameron Schmidt of Columbus, Kristine Hall of Pemberville and Sarah Girten of Tampa.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory - Bryan (206 N Lynn St, Bryan, OH 43506). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at the Shiffler Cemetery (8247 US-127, Bryan, OH 43506).
