He was predeceased by: his father Calvin D. Long; his former wife Irene; his siblings, Eddie Long, Stanley and Sarah; and his great grandchild Austin Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Kate Horning (Ritter); his children, Allan Long (Dixie), Sharon Shealy (Dave), Chuck Long (Jane), Steve Long (Vicki) and Lisa Eichhorn (Dan); and his stepchildren, Steve Horning (Diana Meadows), Chris Horning (Deb) and Jennifer Massie. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 41 great grandchildren.
