He was predeceased by: his parents, John Byrum and Effie Byrum (Groves); his sons, Tillman "Russ" Byrum, Rodney Byrum and Shannon Byrum; his grandson Josh Byrum; and his siblings, Martha Smith, Kathleen Summers, Leonard of Jesse, J. C., Bobby and Kermit.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Russell Byrum (Patricia), Leesa Bares (Mike), Shena Meeks (Steve) and Amber Johns (Dustin). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
