He was predeceased by: his father Donald E. Johns I. Don (Bucyrus); his brother Mike Shumate; and his grandfather Don Haycook (Harry Robinson). He is survived by: his mother Ellen Haycook (Bailey); his wife Shirley Johns (Richmond); his children, Austin Johns (Morgan) and Stacee Gimlich (Tommy); his grandchildren, Chase, Drayden, Emmy and Westin; and his siblings, Selina Shumate and Steve Shumate (Carol). He is also survived by his "fur babies"; and numerous extended family.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made payable to Tunnels to Towers or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the funeral home.
