We announce the death of Douglas A. Godwin (Bucyrus, Ohio), who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 83. Douglas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. "Jose" Godwin and Kate Godwin (Tarleton); his son Gregory S. Godwin; and his siblings, Rachel Whitley, Jim, Billy, Cullie, Bobby, Benny "Gene" and Larry Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Davis; his children, Steven Godwin (Monica), Gayle Godwin (Josh Buckley), Tina Martin (Jason) and Doug; his grandchildren, Andrew Godwin, Stephanie Godwin, Kendra Sweeney, Jasmine Susey (Adam), Eli Martin and Isaac Martin; his great grandchildren, Jossee and Paisley; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Godwin and Judy Godwin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
If desired, memorial contributions can be made payable to the Alzheimer's Association or Journey Life Center, and these gifts will be accepted through the funeral home.
