He was predeceased by: his brother Arthur Steiger; his in-laws, Park and Eva Stuckman; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Hatcher and Vincent Black.
He is survived by: his spouse Ardene Struckman; his children, Paula Dotson (Dave) and Greg Steiger (Sue); his grandchildren, Matt Dotson, Ellen Haldeman (Tyler), Emily Dotson (Matt Dietrich) and Emma Steiger; his great grandchildren, Luke and Hannah Haldeman; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Steiger and Mary Jo Black. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wise Funeral Service (129 W Warren St, Bucyrus, OH 44820). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made payable to Mt. Zion Community Church, SouthernCare Hospice, or Harvey School and given at the funeral home.
