He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvel Shepherd and Eva Shepherd; his wife Betty Shepherd; and his siblings, Mable Buffington, Velva Johnson, Sally Winningham, Abraham Shepherd and Daniel Shepherd.
He is survived by: his children, April (Bill Merriman), Nathan Shepherd of Bloomville, Leslie (Rusty Hawkins), Chelsea (Ryan Carey) and Ryan (Jasmin Shepherd); his grandchildren, Jayce, Erin, Rylan, Devon, Luke, Rhonin, Ashton and Charlotte; and his siblings, Arvel Shepherd Jr., Roger Shepherd, Evelyn Barnett, Ella Williams, Elsie Reed and Alice Shepherd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
