He was predeceased by: his father John Sr. Stiefel; his sister Bonnie Carpenter; and his brothers-in-law, Zoney Carpenter and Bob Slater. He is survived by: his wife Penny Stiefel; his children, Christine Stiefel, Jodi Honaker (Eric) and John D. Stiefel (Lorraine); his grandchildren, Samantha and Jesse Honaker; and his sister Judy Slater.
