It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith A. Short (Bucyrus, Ohio), who passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Gobrecht and Leota Ruth Gobrecht (Sites); her son Brian Short; her daughters-in-law, Katie Short and Christine Short; her granddaughter Misty Short; her sisters, Arlene Wise and Marva Lee Quaintance; her brothers-in-law, Bob Quaintance and Paul Vinson; and her brothers, Marvin and Melvin Gobrecht.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Short, Gregory Short (Diana) and Dale Short; her grandchildren, Ashley Ferguson, Amber Jenkins, Jessica Short, Michael Short (Macey), Aaron Hensley, Levi Gebhardt (Luke), Josh Sourwine and Anthony Short; and her siblings, Sharon Vinson and Robert Gobrecht (Kathleen "Phred"). She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made payable to New Hope Community Church Food Pantry and given at the funeral home.
