He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Hare and Carrie Hare (Strub); his wife Elma D. "Sally" Stansbery; his children, Carol Watts and Bob Gottfried; his great grandchild Toby McWaters; and his siblings, Dwight Hare, Virginia Frederick, Martha Gillespie and Helen Hare.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Rick McWaters, Tim McWaters, Miles Horsley, Randy Gottfried and Tammy Craig. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.
