He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Leroy and Jane F. Dewiel (Haala); and his sister Patty Dewiel. He is survived by: his children, John Dewiel (Jodie) of Lima and Angie Dewiel of California; his stepson Richard Banks of Bucyrus; his grandchildren, Nichole, Makayla, Johanna and David; his great grandchildren, Ledger, Damon, Maddox, Greyson, Emerleigh and Lincoln; his stepgrandchildren, Ariahne and Owen; and his siblings, Jim Dewiel of Oklahoma and Mary Dewiel of Bucyrus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home (215 N Walnut St, Bucyrus, OH 44820). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at the Oakwood Cemetery (835 Kaler Ave, Bucyrus, OH 44820).
