He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sturgeon and Melba Sturgeon (Pense); his wife Marlene Amos; his brother Jerry W. Sturgeon; and his close friend Willie Addison.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Gina Baum and Jeff Konves (Beth Ann); his grandchildren, Birdie Baum, Tina Turrin, Jake Konves and Ben Konves; his great grandchild Quinn; and his siblings, Pamela Philpott (Chuck) and Greg Sturgeon (Pam).
