He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Auck and Aida Auck (Miller); his siblings-in-law, John Hensley, Gerald Hoover, Daryle Ahlefeld and Joann Ahlefeld; and his nephews, Loni Metz, Ivan Ahlefeld and William Roski.

He is survived by: his daughters, Gretchen Henson of Galion and Nicki Martin (Brian) of Bucyrus; his grandchildren, Ashley Jarrell (Jon Freeman), Zack Martin (Brianna Brown), Sam Martin, Karena Henson, John Miller, Savannah Jarrell and James Freeman; his siblings, Nancy Hensley, Julia Dunham (Dan), Sue Hoover, Donald Auck (Donna) and Arnie Auck (Heather); his sister-in-law Linda Reis-Heilman (Daniel); and also, Brayden, Landen and Graysen Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
