She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Briggs and Cora Briggs (Wilson); her son-in-law Kelly Gaudaur; her grandson Kyle Gaudaur; and her siblings, Eleanor Mackey, Harry Briggs, Chuck Briggs, Wilma Streeter, Clarence Briggs, Evelyn Dewiel, Annabelle Edgington, Dickie Briggs and Shirley Hinson.
She is survived by: her children, Dave Matthews, Sue Bell (Jeff), Gary Matthews (Esther), Jodi Gaudaur and Dale Matthews. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (835 Kaler Ave, Bucyrus, OH 44820).
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made payable to a charity of the donor's choice and given at the service or Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus.
