He was predeceased by: his significant other Jeannine Hiteshew; his sister Jennifer Sweigard; his son Mitchell William Light; his brothers, Jack Light (Shirley), Walter Light (Rosemary) and Edward Light (Eilene); and his brother-in-law Larry Sweigard.
He is survived by: his daughter Michele Light; his daughter-in-law Laura Light; his granddaughters, Mackenzie Klamfoth (Ryan) and Tessa Martin (Britten); his great grandchildren, Ben, Rachel, Luke, Zeb, Sarah and Adam; his stepgranddaughters, Nicole Snodgrass (Chris Smith) and Victoria Donnersbaugh (Phil); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Aurora, Jonathon, Lynnette and Lily; and his brother Louis Light (Mary).
Memorial donations are encouraged to be made payable to American Legion Post 181 or Honor Flight Network and given through the funeral home.
