He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Rufener (Ed) and Martha Miller Rufener; and his wife Mary Beth Bornes. He is survived by: his son Richard John "R. J." Rufener (Lisa); his granddaughters, Katie and Marcie; and his great grandchild Kori Beth.
