He was predeceased by: his parents, Adison Pierce and Minnie Pierce (Kiel); his wife Lois Ferguson; his sons, John, Jimmy, Fred and Robert; his siblings, Ernie, Bob, Rich, Ray and Sharon; his daughter-in-law Linda Pierce; and his granddaughter Crystal Pierce.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Pierce, Linda Taurisano (Robert) and Joan Thomas; his daughters-in-law, Mary Ann Pierce and Debbie Ruble; and his grandchildren, Cory Pierce (Laura), Heather Ball, Anthony Pierce (Kriste), Ryan Burzanko, Ryan Pierce and Brayden Axel Pierce. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
