He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and June Ruby Abbott; his wife Linda Simon-Abbott; his brother Charles Edward "Sonny" Abbott; his stepmother Sovara "Sue" Abbott; his children, Brenda Banks and Claude Abbott; and his grandsons, Jerome Fox, III and Michael Fox.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Abbott II (Sara), Lana Fox (Jerry, Jr.) and Jennifer Weiskircher (Mark); his grandchildren, Larry III, Noah, Marie, Andre and Matthew; his great grandchild Gabrielle; and his siblings, Cindy Hagan and Donald Abbott. He is also survived by his extended family & many good friends.
