It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol W. Metheney of Byesville, Ohio, who passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Triplett and Iona Triplett (Finley); her former husband James M. Hayes; her husband John Metheney; and her siblings, Alberta, Ruth, Mary, Geneva, Harold, Ray, Donald, Charles and Gilbert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Trina King (Bruce) of New Concord and Twila Wright (Randy) of Byesville; her grandchildren, Amanda Buday (Luke) of Monticello, KY, Aaron King (Nichole) of Cambridge, Cody Wright (Emily) of Newark, Kyle Wright of Byesville and Kayla Wright of Byesville; and her great grandchildren, Alissa Buday, Addyson Buday, Alivia Buday, Blake King and Hayden King. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
