It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma J. Jones of Byesville, Ohio, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Brister and Lucille Brister (Brownfield); her daughter Bekki Atkinson; her siblings, Janet Selock, Rose Matheny, James S. Brister and Floyd Brister; and her siblings-in-law, Merry Vahala, Emil Selock and Buster Clewell.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Jones; her daughter Laura Gress (Shannon); her sisters, JoAnn Snode (Gerald) and June Lewis; her siblings-in-law, Patti Tipton, Kay Clewell, Skip Matheny, Ted Jones (Barb) and John Vahala (Shirley); her grandchildren, Jenna Gress, Lauren Atkinson and Drew Atkinson; and her son-in-law Brian Atkinson. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
