He was predeceased by: his wife Gail Irene Dewalt; his mother Betty Sanders; his stepfather William Sanders; his father Mario Viola; his stepmother Pat Viola; his grandparents, John Dewalt and Retta Mae Dewalt (Moore); and his sisters, Lila Bates, Maxine Bates, Geneva Hooker, Doris Durbin and Bernice Sedgmer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Ann Dewalt and Melissa Dewalt (Dave); his granddaughter Olivia Grace Dewalt (River); his brother Rick Celestino (Paula); and his stepsisters, Lynn Hopkins and Linda Barrett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home (172 S Main St, Cadiz, OH 43907). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
