He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Paul and Laura Beatrice Althar Giffin, Sr.; his wife Emma Lou Giffin; and his siblings, Chester Giffin and Miriam Kinney.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Edward Giffin (Lynn) of Cadiz, Bradley Joe Giffin (Kristine "Sissy") of Elizabeth City, NC and Valerie Sue Baker (John) of Cadiz; his grandchildren, Jacob (Alexis Corder), Jesse, Benjamin Giffin, Haley Remenyi (Dakota), Caleb (Carrie), Jillian, Jonas Giffin, Alexis Giffin, Hannah, Lucas Warrington (Kelsey Zikursh) and Kylee Baker; his great grandchildren, Mason, Gracie Best, Aiden Cobb and Emorett Simmerman; and his siblings, Carol Carman of Barnesville and Glenn Giffin of Martins Ferry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Church of Christ (139 N Main St, Cadiz, OH 43907). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
