Samuel Sherman Betts Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel Sherman Betts of Cadiz, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Samuel had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Samuel may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Betts and Clara Betts (Bucey); his former wife Betty Jane Betts (Ryan); his sister Wanda Royer; and his stepson James Michael Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Martha E. Betts (Collier); his children, Cheryl Royer (Roger), Rev. Daniel Betts (Sulinda) and David Betts (Heather); and his stepdaughters, Vickie Mellot and Kathie Yocum (Arthur). He is also survived by his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Borkoski Funeral Home (555 E Market St, Cadiz, OH 43907). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025.
