He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond C. Buckey and Cecil M. Hickle Buckey Rayner; his wife Patricia L. Cowgill Buckey; his son Raymond O. Buckey; his siblings, Earl C. Buckey, Edna Francis Matthews and Maxine Buckey; and his close friends, Carl and Shirley Beynon.
He is survived by: his children, Debra S. Stiers (Matthew) of Salesville and Kenneth E. Buckey (Renee) of Caldwell; his grandchildren, Franklin Gadd (Alison), Timothy Gadd (Jessica), Julie Cunningham (Seth), Christopher Buckey (Morgan), Tara Pickenpaugh (Brandon), Matt Dodson (Tara), Krissy Myers (Josh), Joshua Stiers (Jenny), Susanne Clark (Chris), Kassandra Shafer (Brian), Mallory Monhemius (Noah), Brittany White (Tyler Ashcraft) and Davis Rohr (Taylor); his daughter-in-law Karen Buckey of Senecaville; and his sister-in-law Joyce Gentry of Springfield. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home (416 East St, Caldwell, OH 43724). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
