He is survived by: his wife Judy James; his son Ben Winnell (Laurie Barraclough) of Huntersville, NC; his daughter-in-law Mia Winnell of Castle Rock, CO; his grandson Noah Winnell of Huntersville, NC; his stepson T. J. Nagel (Annette) of Columbus, OH; his sisters, Debby Peters (Herb) and Cathy Purewal of Summerville, SC; his aunt Judy Shipes of Huston, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Sally Bogert (Nick) of Lakeside, MI and Bill James (Sharon) of Austin, TX.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
