She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Schimmel and Kathleen Schimmel; her husband James Burris; and her sisters, Jackie Barber and Susan Gildea.

She is survived by: her children, Travis Burris (Mallory) and Sarah King (James); and her grandchildren, Isabel "Izzy" DeLong and Kyle DeLong. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
