He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Adams and Elsie Hothem (Renner); his son Jason A. Ayers; his nephew Raymond Border; his sister-in-law Judy Adams; his grandson Brady Ayers; and his stepfather Milton Hothem.
He is survived by: his wife Laurel Adams (Robinson); his sons, Eugene Ayers (Jessica) of Mt. Sterling and Joe Christian (Brandy) of Senecaville; his grandchildren, Samantha Fox (Gregory), Abbi Ayers, Jacquie Christian, Alex Christian, Beverly Ayers, Zander Ayers, Uryah Ayers, Willow Ayers and Vivian Ayers; his great grandchildren, Wesley Earl Glover, Tessa Fox and Evelynn Fox; and his siblings, Jim Border (Annabelle), Gene Border (Nita), Dick Border (Maxine), Don Border (Becky), Ray Adams and Nancy Domer (Ike). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
