She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clyde Shaffer and Alma Shaffer; her husband Richard Treherne; her pets, Joan and Teddy; her children, Stephanie Sim (Gregory), David Treherne (Paula) and Daniel Treherne; her grandchildren, Julie Treherne, Richard Treherne and Maxwell Sim; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln Sim and Emmett Sim.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Global Methodist Church (2167 North Ave, Cambridge, OH 43725).
After several years, they sold the store and returned to Cambridge so Joan could help care for her father as he battled Alzheimer's disease.
