He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard F. Cross and Mary Etta Cross (Stevenson); and his wife Sandra Kay Cross. He is survived by: his children, Larry D. Cross (Amanda) of Mineral Bluff, Georgia and Lesa K. Weis (Joseph) of Senecaville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Eddie Anderson (Linda), Lindsay Robertson (Kevin), L. Kirk Cross, Carrie Winland (Kyle) and Alex Weis; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Eric, Kade, Kale, Carson, Camden and Kirk.
