She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollie J. Ashley and Alice Ashley (Ross); her husband Roland F. Bates Sr.; and her brothers, Richard and William Ashley.
She is survived by: her children, Alice "Lucy" Carpenter (Carlin) of Kimbolton and Roland F. Bates Jr. (Randi) of Cambridge; and her grandchildren, Scott Carpenter, Bethany Williams (Nick), Adam Bates (Sarrah) and Jonathan Bates. She is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 step- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bundy-Law Funeral Home (120 N 11th St, Cambridge, OH 43725). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
