He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Deaton and James Deaton; his wife Patricia Ann Elam; his siblings, Mae Albin, Bertie Ann Sheley, Ruth Loveless, Jean Hollon and Lloyd Deaton; and his great grandchild Waylon Runyon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Dougherty (Terry) of Camden, Cathy Powell (Kip) of Eaton and Sandy Simpson (Darrell) of Camden; his grandchildren, John Chancey Dougherty (Shannon), Lindsey Ann Gregg (Jason), Brigette Nicole Murphy (Doug), Patrick John Powell (Brandi), John Tyler Simpson (Ashley), Darcy Powell (Marie), Alexander John Simpson (Danielle) and Nicholas Paul Powell (Kaitlyn); his great great grandchild Holden; and his siblings, Dora Sebastian, Naomi Rudd, Ida Dixon, Gail Jackson and James B Deaton. He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews and in-laws.
