He was predeceased by : his parents, Orbie Denzil Barnette and Opal Lee Klatt Barnette; and his brother Anthony Ray "Tony" Murray. He is survived by : his children, Noel Barnette Norman (Jeff), Tiffany Dinn (David), Joel Barnette (Emily) and Richard Lee Barnette, Jr.; his grandchildren, Kody Barnette, Tawnie Barnette, Erik Barnette, Mady Norman and Blake Norman; his siblings, Denzil Barnette, Danny Barnette, Donnie Barnette, Daryl Barnette, Dana Barnette, Patricia Osborne, Pamela Holloway and Lily Arisha; and his stepmother Jo Barnette. He is also survived by many cousins and nephews.
