He was predeceased by: his parents, Lizzie Perry (Edward) and Leslie Lewis; his wife Elaine Lewis; his grandson Darren Lee Lewis; his siblings, Vernon Lewis, Patsy, Paul, Joe Perry, Junior, Bobby Lewis and Gladys Shanefelt-Grimme; and his nephews, Jerry and Jeff Lewis.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda Johnson; his sons, Donnie Lewis, Darrell Lewis and David Lewis (Kathy); the parent of his children Jean Lewis; his siblings, Florene, Herbie and Fred; Lou Johnson and Chris Johnson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
