He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex J. Varie, and Kathleen Vetromile Varie, Sr.; his son Dean Varie; and his sister Kathleen M. Varie-Degli. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Marie Santucci; his children, Alex (Karen), Michael Varie (Amanda Purcell), Joseph Varie (Linda) and Kathy Varie-Wells (Ken Norman); and his daughter-in-law Kristan Varie. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
