He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Walko and Malvina Walko (Halape); his former wife Florence Makarevich; his wife Anita Walko (Nightingale); and his siblings, Mary Antonitz, Lucille Vrancich, Ann Del Duchetto, Dorothy Ayers, Theresa Tokasz, Elizabeth "Betty" Tascik, Carl and Frank Walko.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Avvisati (Claude) of Villa Park, Pauline Slovick (Joseph) of Newbury Park and John Walko (Jennifer) of Wexford; and his grandchildren, Jessica Walker, Lindsey Finney, Danielle Avvisati, Adrian Slovick, Catie Slovick, Melina Walko and Katarina Walko. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
The Family has asked for donations in lieu of flowers to be sent to The Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 50 Warner Rd. Hubbard OH, 44425.
