Though Leonard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his mother Zantha Mae Tate Ellis. He is survived by: his father Garrett Sr. Ellis; his son Leonard Ellis Jr. (Annica); his grandson Caine Muhsi of Youngstown; his siblings, Brenda Ellis-Gilford of Cleveland, Garrett Ellis, Jr. (Doreen McBride) of Youngstown, Marlon Ellis of Youngstown, Troy Ellis (Cheryl) of Zanesville, OH and Clandra Black of Swartz Creek, MI; and his friend Jada Bonner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home Inc. (1951 McGuffey Rd, Youngstown, OH 44505). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
