It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otho Lee Strait of Canal Winchester, Ohio, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Strait and Rose Strait (Robinson); his wife Faith Evelyn Janaway-Strait; his son Kirk Edward Strait; and his siblings, Owen, Clara Mae and William.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Joyce Criswell; his daughter Robin Tatman (Steve); his grandchildren, Heather Wilson (Robert), Kyle Garrett (Meredith) and Fionnuala Criswell-Carder; his partner's children, Tamara Criswell-Carder (Dan) and Ron Criswell (Sally); his great grandchildren, Aaren, Cameron, Claire and Corinne; and his siblings, Wilbur Strait (Louise), Robert Strait (Mary) and Erma Ann Notter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home - Canal Winchester (650 W Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Central Ohio area.
