John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Lewis and Elizabeth M. Lewis (Reese); and his wife Nancy E. Kimmel. He is survived by: his son Robert J. Lewis (Nichole) of Poland; and his grandchildren, Evan Michael Lewis and Kara Elizabeth Lewis.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home (65 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made to the Salem High School Alumni Association, 330 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460, in John's memory.
