He was predeceased by : his parents, Abraham VanKirk and Rose Kale VanKirk; his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Donna VanKirk; his sister Joanne; his brother-in-law Ronald Grim; his sisters, Rose Marie Dunlap and Barbara Jenkins; and his great grandchild Tyler.
He is survived by : his wife Barbara Wolf; his children, Tom Kean (Christina) of San Antonio, TX, John VanKirk (Sherry) of Spring, Rena VanKirk of Carpinteria, CA and Melissa Hill (David) of Ogilvie, MN.; his grandchildren, Tori, Dakota, Ashley, John III, Zack, Naomi, Tim, Heather, Brandon and Savannah; and his siblings, Carrie and Bo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, John's family requests any contributions be made in John's name to his favorite charity, Animal Charities, 4140 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
