He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Joe Jr. (Terry) of Mound City, Kansas, Dave (Debbie) of Zachary, Louisiana, Shari Thomas (Todd) of North Lima and Debbie Hurt (Keith) of Reynoldsburg; his grandchildren, David (Pheriche), Dan (Rachel), Andy Perkins (Miranda), Melissa Jackson (Lucas), Christina Moore (Cody), Brooks (Emma), Hope, Camden Thomas, Jessie Ehr (Clay), Anna Sherr (Brandon), Emily and Sydney Hurt; his great grandchildren, Paislee, Maverick, Owen, Allen, Annie, Abigail of Leo, JR, Thatcher, Wyatt, Everett, Cane, Camille and Ethan; his niece Charlene Johnson; and his brother-in-law Robert Dalberg.
