With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Gillenwater (Canfield, Ohio), who passed away on May 27, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Gillenwater and Gladys Gillenwater; his stepfather Fred Tomlinson; his siblings, Jim Gillenwater, Jean Rines and Joyce Ledford; his son Dennis; and his daughter-in-law Alva Gillenwater.

He is survived by : his wife Patsy; his siblings, Doris Allen, Johnny Tomlinson, Joe Tomlinson, Sue Hughes (Lee) and Janie Quiggle (Steve); his daughter Deborah Brocker (Bruce); his daughter-in-law Chris Gillenwater; and his grandchildren, Tricia Steed (Chris), Scott Gillenwater (Veronica), Laura Stevenson (Eric), Lindsey, Phillip, Michael Brocker, Katie Lawrence, Courtney Hunter (Rusty), Matthew Lawrence, Jason Walters and Quincy Lawrence (Kristal). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any honorary contributions be made to The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley or the donor's favorite charity.
