It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Franklin Himler of Cardington, Ohio, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter H. Himler and Mabel E. Himler (Schorr); his granddaughter Amanda Himler; his great grandchild Makayla Moore; his brothers, Richard and George Himler; and his son-in-law Joseph Jordan.
He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" (Jewett); his children, Karen Jordan of Belfair, WA, Joy Moore (Steve) of Cardington, Tim Himler (Stephanie) of Marion, Tony Himler (Sharon) of Marion, Cindi Baker (Scott) of Galena, Sheri Hegi (Lenny) of Cosby, TN, Troy Showalter (Laci) of Mount Vernon and Jody Showalter (Tina) of Sandusky; his sister Esther Yake of Cardington; and his sister-in-law Ginger Himler of Marion. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (336 W Main St, Cardington, OH 43315).
